Color Collections--Red, Part One

I'm still fascinated with Lisa Congdon's Collection a Day, 2010 blog. As I was walking past my workbench the other day, I realized that I have similar collections out all the time. I just hadn't really connected the dots. Of course, the pieces are all haphazardly strewn all over the work surface, (I'm kinda sloppier during the creative process than I would like to admit.) but they are there. I get on jags of working with certain colors, topics or vintages and the bench top starts to reflect that.

In the spirit of Lisa's project, I thought it would be fun to document some of my random collections. I'll be posting some pics of the themes that emerge during the process of making. As a way to get started I'm going to go through and curate some pieces based solely on color. ROY G. BIV dictates red first, so here we go.

This is my fancy upcycled clementine box filled with small red pieces. I have a bin of big red tin pieces too, but the small ones work better for these purposes.
