Austin Creative Reuse--Meeting Jan 21, 2010

I'm super psyched about this awesome new project, and you should be too. This is a great opportunty for Austin to help meet it's Zero Waste goals and for you to pass along those materials to others whe will put them to good use. If you're interested in finding out more, please come to the next meeting. It is going to be held tomorrow evening at the Recycled Reads on Burnet from 7 to 8:30pm.

This is the note I received yesterday from the organizers:

Hello Austin!

We have been working hard on getting the Austin Creative Reuse center up and running.  Late last year we received our Certificate of Incorporation - we are official in the State of Texas! Our next step is to get 501c3 paperwork filed in the next few weeks and we are excited to see the light at the end of that paperwork tunnel.  We are all looking forward to the next steps: finding others who are invested in getting ACR up and off the ground.  We are looking for those interested in serving on the board, volunteering time grant writing, collecting materials, and all kinds of other organizing activities. If you would like to be involved in a bigger way or know someone who would, please join us for our next meeting this Thursday January 21st.
