1000 Ideas for Creative Reuse

I submitted some images to this call a while back. I hadn't heard anything much, so the whole thing kinda slipped off the radar. Then about a week ago, a google alert brought up a brief blog post about the publication date. I followed the link to the Quarry Books site and realized a couple of my pieces had made it on the cover of 1000 Ideas for Creative Reuse. (woohoo!?) But that's it. That's all I know about this book. Somewhere buried deep in my brain I recall a mention of the publisher sending info about contributor copies. I don't recollect the specifics, but I remember thinking it wasn't gonna be free. Then it occurred to me why you do a 1000 series book--you would be guaranteed to sell at least that many copies. Heck, if you throw in moms, dads, grandparents and proud aunts you might get up to 3 or 4 thousand even. Pretty sly, Quarry. I'm inspired now to work even harder on my life-long dream to publish the coffee table book to end all coffee table books "100,000 Dog Faces." [Might as well capitalize on the $41B (yes, that's BILLION) pet industry while I'm at it.] I'll be sending out the call later in the week. You cat owners will get your chance too. Don't fret.

Come to think of it ... I would buy that book about dog faces ... lots of pics very little text ... a book disguised as a coaster!
